The figure ranked the province 31st out of 63 provinces nationwide and 9th out of 11 provinces in the Red River Delta Region in terms of investment attraction.
Most of the licensed projects focus onsuchfields as the processing industry, agro-fishery and forestry.
To date, 12 countries and territories have invested in Ninh Binh, including Taiwan, the Republic of Korea, Japan, the Philippines, and British Virgin Islands.
So far this year, ten delegations of business people and investors from Japan, China and the Republic of Korea have visited Ninh Binh to survey the investment climate and seek potential partners.
The province has planned to grant investment licenses for 2-4FDI projects and approve capital increase requests for 3-5 operating FDI projects in the second half of the year.
In addition, it will continue to direct relevant agencies to improve the investment climate, renew investment promotion activities, and launch measures to call upon strategic partners and investors.
