The growth of global trade has forced many countries in the world to apply trade remedy measures. The Party's right policies on international economic integration and export in the past recent years have created momentum for Vietnam's economic growth.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the country's total import and export turnover reached 674 billion USD in the 11 months of 2022, posting a year-on-year rise of 11.8%. Of which, exports raked in more than 342 billion USD, up 13.4%.
Meanwhile, Ninh Binh's export earnings hit over 2.9 billion USD in the first 11 months of 2022, a year-on-year increase of 11.2% and 104% higher than the yearly plan.
However, export commodities are facing more risks of trade remedy investigations and measures by foreign countries.
In a bid to minimise these risks, Ninh Binh has actively worked with related ministries and sectors to provide local enterprises with basic information about trade safeguard and products which are likely to face trade remedy measures.
Local associations and businesses have also been guided to deal with cases related to trade safeguard, and anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations.
Besides, enterprises are urged to study and improve their knowledge about trade remedy to protect their legitimate interests; develop raw material sources inside the country in a bid to reduce negative impacts; diversify products and export markets to respond to trade remedies, ensuring their stable development.
In a bid to create momentum for Ninh Binh's export growth, a part from improving trade remedy capacity, local enterprises are also requested to take advantage of free trade agreements, thereby increasing the and competiveness and contributing to boost the province's socio-economic development.
