Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just signed a decesion to announce eight more national intangible cultural heritages.
Ninh Binh has two more national intangible cultural heritages
Of which, the traditional craft of embroidery making in Ninh Hai commune, Hoa Lu district and "Mo Muong"- a unique cultural heritage of the Muong ethnic group in mountainous district of Nho Quan, Ninh Binh province, have been recognized as national intangible cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Mo Muon is a folk performing genre practiced in rituals and associated with the spiritual life and belief of Muong ethnic people
Under the decision, the chairpersons of People's Committees of localities, where the new national intangible cultural heritages were recognised, were required to manage them well in line with the law.
As of April 2024, the northern province of Ninh Binh boasts 6 national intangible cultural heritages.
