Ninh Binh gears up for hosting of National Tourism Year 2020

Bui Thanh Dong, Director of the provincial Department of Tourism said after two years of implementing the Politburo's Resolution No. 08-NQ / TW dated January 16, 2017 on developing tourism as a spearheaded economy, Ninh Binh's tourism has witnessed strong performance.

He said tourism products have been renewed while the quality of tourism services has been improved significantly.

In particular, the content and quality of tourism promotion activities have been paid attention, thus, bringing about high efficiency for the tourism sector.

Besides, Ninh Binh has created favorable conditions for domestic and foreign crews of TV channels and film company who come to film and record the beauty of Ninh Binh to help promote and introduce Ninh Binh tourism.

The province has also paid heed to advertising its tourism potentials on the media.

The successful Ninh Binh tourism week called "Yellow season of Tam Coc - Trang An" is seen as one of the remarkable successes of Ninh Binh's tourism promotion efforts as it helps draw more visitors to Ninh Binh, even in the low season, Dong added.

16 cities, provinces to join National Tourism Year 2020

Director of the Ninh Binh tourism department Dong said the National Tourism Year 2020 will take place at Bai Dinh pagoda.

The upcoming event features various special activities like Bai Dinh festival; Hoa Lu festival, Trang An festival, a tourism week "Yellow color of Tam Coc - Trang An"; an international conference on conservation and exploitation of cultural and naturual heritage of Trang An in association with sustainable development of tourism; a conference of sustainable development of Ninh Binh's tourism, and more.

Other responding activities will be carried out by 16 cities and provinces across the country like Ha Noi, Ha Nam, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, and Nghe An.

Dinh Van Dien, Chairman of the Ninh Binh People's Committee said since the beginning of 2019, Ninh Binh has focused on making all essential conditions to prepare for the National Tourism Year 2020.

The cultural activity will help introduce and promote tangible and intangible cultural values of Ninh Binh, thus, making a breakthrough for its tourism development, contributing to its socio-economic growth in the following years, Dien added.
