Staples posting encouraging export turnover growth included textiles and garments which hit nearly 54 million USD; cement and clinker with 84 million USD; camera and telephones and components and footware with 14 million and 62 million USD.
However, some products like pineapple, cucumber, embroidery products, and automobile swipe saw a sharp decline as compared to the same period last year.
The two-month performance was a good signal for the province's economy in the context of the country witnessing an export turnover reduction of 1.3 percent in January compared to the same month last year.
In order to achieve the export target and facilitate the city's exporters, Ninh Binh would continue to help enterprises access loans, improve administrative reforms and accelerate trade promotion.
At the same time, it would help local firms diversify the design of their products, access new technologies, promote their brands and origin traceability, among others.
The province would also call for investment to develop infrastructure as well as build an information database for business and export activities.
