Ninh Binh conducts random COVID-19 testing for workers

More than 3,000 workers in local businesses have to date had samples taken for COVID-19 testing. These workers were chosen by leaders of their companies as they faced a high risk of COVID-19 infection because they had close contact with many colleagues in different divisions.

All tested samples are negative to coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, while the remainders are waiting for results.

In the coming days, the local health sector will continue taking more samples from workers in enterprises for COVID-19 testing in a bid to early detect possible infections, thus devising scenarios to cope with any outbreaks and effectively implementing the "dual goal" of containing the pandemic and boosting socio-economic development.

Earlier, the provincial People's Committee and relavant sectors organized delegations to inspect COVID-19 prevention and control at business and production establishments in Gian Khau Industrial Park and Gia Van Industrial Cluster of Gia Vien district, and Phuc Son Industrial Parl in Ninh Binh city.
