Ninh Binh city's general wholesale market inaugurated

Attending the inauguration ceremony were Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee Tran Song Tung and officials from the Agency for Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, among others.

The Ninh Binh general wholesale market is the first of its kind in the province. It was built on an area of over 21,000sq.m with total capital investment of nearly 290 billion VND.

When put into operation, the market will promote the trading of goods and agricultural products, and the development of trade and services both inside and outside the province. It also creates jobs for over 1,000 labourers.

The project was completed 12 months ahead of schedule.

In his remarks, Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee Tran Song Tung spoke highly of the efforts of the investor, engineers and workers, as well as the coordination of departments, sectors and agencies and the People's Committee of Ninh Binh city in accelerating the progress so as to complete the project ahead of schedule.

He stressed that the market would play an important role in socio-economic development and trade, and encouraging local farm production as well as market connection.

At the ceremony, delegates and the investor cut the ribbon to inaugurate the market.
