Ninh Binh city fulfills task of new-style rural area building

Attending the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Hoang Hiep and leaders of Ninh Binh.

Implementing the national target programme on building new-style rural areas, all three communes of Ninh Binh city, namely Ninh Nhat, Ninh Tien and Ninh Phuc, have fulfilled all criteria of new-style rural areas, of which one commune achieved the advanced standards.

Ninh Binh city has mobilised over 1.22 trillion VND to build rural works, of which local people have contributed nearly 314 billion VND.

By the end of 2020, the per capita income in the communes reached 65 million VND, an increase of 27 million VND from the figure in 2015. The poverty rate dropped to 1.77 percent.

All the communes have received investment to become wards in the coming time, therefore their socio-economic infrastructure have been upgraded modernly and synchronically.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc praised the city's Party Organisation, administration and people for their efforts to fulfill the task, and asked Ninh Binh city to continue promoting the achieved results and encouraging people from all walks of life to join hands in boosting local socio-economic development.

He also requested Ninh Binh city to continue implementing the viewpoints, goals and tasks set in the Resolution of the 22^nd Provincial Party Congress on developing Ninh Binh city to 2020 with a vision through 2030. 

The city is striving to build itself into a cultural, ecological and environmentally friendly urban area, becoming an important driving force for the province's socio-economic develoment.

Ninh Binh city needs to adjust its planning scheme to make it suitable with that of Ninh Binh province for the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050, he said.

Ninh Binh is making efforts to develop the three communes into wards by 2025 and develop rural areas in line with the urbanization process; step up the building of e-administration, digital transformation and smart urban building.

Empowered by the Prime Minister, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Hoang Hiep presented a certificate recognising Ninh Binh city to have completed the task of building new-styke rural areas.

The authorities of Ninh Binh province and the city rewarded collectives and individuals for their outstanding achievements in the movement.
