Ninh Binh boosts tourism connectivity with Quang Ninh, Binh Dinh and Mekong Delta provinces

At the conference, delegates introduced tourism potential and strengths of the provinces of Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, and Binh Dinh and Can Tho city.

These four localities have their own unique advantages and potential to develop diverse types of tourism such as heritage tourism, ecotourism, resort tourism, cultural-festival tourism and island-sea tourism.

They also have favourable locations to boost economic connectivity with other localities nationwide and countries across the world.

The Mekong Delta region is seen as a potential market for these provinces  to attract domestic travellers, thereby tourism connectivity shows the wise direction in implementing Politburo's Resolution on developing tourism as a spearhead economic sector as well as the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's plan on reopening tourism activities in the new period as well as plans on reviving tourism of the provinces.

Representatives of travel companies and leaders of the provincial Department of Tourism discussed and clarified suggestions related to mechanisms and policies to support tourism promotion programmes, build tourism brands and create favourable conditions for investors to develop green and sustainable tourism.

Leaders of theDepartments of Tourism of Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, Binh Dinh and Can Tho signed a cooperation agreement on tourism connectivity.

The conference on tourism connectivity laid a foundation to set up sustainable cooperative relations between the localities and create momentum to revive tourism in the whole country in general and these provinces in particular, thus contributing to the nation's socio-economic development.
