Ninh Binh athletes win three gold medals at 2020 National weightlifting champs
The event drawed participation of 145 athletes from many provinces and cities nationwide. Ninh Binh has sent 6 athletes to attend the competition at different categories. Two out of six secured medals for Ninh Binh sport.
Thrree gold medals were obtained by Dinh Xuan Hoang at the men's 67kg category with the snatch (125kg), clean and jerk (160kg) with the overrall of 258kg. He came on top in his men's category with 3 gold medals.
His teammate Mai Van Long, won one silver and one bronze medal at his men's 109kg category, with the snatch (135kg); clean and jerk (161kg) and overrall of 296kg.
In particular, at men's 67kg category, Dinh Xuan Hoang became the only champion of the tournament.
The 2020 National Weightlifting Championship is the most important event of the year. The tournament offers a chance for selecting the outstanding athletes to attend the SEA games 31.
