Ninh Binh asked to complete land clearance for North - South expressway

The urged Ninh Binh's districts and Y Yen district of neighboring Nam Dinh province to accomplish land clearance by June 2020 to hand over the site to the contractor for the implementation of the project as scheduled.

At the working session, the delegation heard a brief report on the province's state management on transport, implementation of transport infrastructure projects and its efforts to ensure traffic order and safety.

Ninh Binh's authorities proposed the Ministry of Transport empower the provincial Department of Transport to manage inland waterways and ports along Hoang Long, Vac rivers and Yen Mo channel, with a total length of 70.5km.

They also suggested the Ministry of Transport and the Vietnam Railway Corporation to hand over the land plot at the former Ninh Binh Railway Station and the land area on the North - South railway to the provincial People's Committee for management and use.

Regarding to the proposals made by the provincial Department of Transport and People's Committee, The said he would assign the ministry's relevant units to consider and settle in line with law.

Earlier, the working delegation paid a fact-finding trip to inspect the construction progress of the Mai Son - Cao Bo section on the North - South expressway.
