Ninh Binh, Asan city enhance agricultural cooperation

During the visit, technicians and experts from the Asan Agricultural Technology Centre learned about the potential, strengths, infrastructure, methods of production, processing and consumption as well as difficulties that Ninh Binh farmers could meet during their production, so as to provide suitable assistance for them in the coming time.

The delegation paid finding-trips to several outstanding agricultural models in some districts, namely Dong Giao Foodstuff JSC in Tam Diep city, Cuc Phuong ginseng cooperative, RiTi herbals cooperative and Dong Phong high tech cooperative in Nho Quan district; Bao Son herbal production company in Kim Son district; and Hop Tien agriculture cooperative in Yen Khanh district. These are outstanding models that exploit advantages of their localities and apply scientific advancements in planting and processing standard OCOP products.

After visiting these models, the delegation spoke highly of these cooperatives for applying hi-tech in producing in line with VietGap and organic practices.

The delegation also heard proposals from Ninh Binh farmers in providing suitable machines, techniques and trade promotions in the coming time.

In 2017, the Ninh Binh provincial People's Committee and the administration of Asan city signed an agreement on twinned relations, thereby officially establishing cooperative ties for mutual development.

The two sides have carried out numerous practical cooperation activities in investment, agricultural production, tourism development, art and cultural exchanges, thus contributing to spur socio-economic growth of the two localities.

Especially, Asan city has so far provided training courses for nearly 100 farmers from Ninh Binh province.
