Ninh Binh allocates 1.11 trillion VND for building new-style rural areas

According to the provincial People's Committee's report, in the period of 2021-2025 Ninh Binh has received nearly 84.8 billion VND from the central budget for the implementation of the national target programme on new-style rural areas building. Since 2022, Ninh Binh has balanced the budget itself so it has no longer received financial assistance from the central budget.

The sum of over 1.11 trillion VND has been allocated to localities promptly under principles of right purposes, right beneficiaries and being suitable with the real conditions of each locality.

The money has been used to build works serving local people such as clean water supply systems, environmental hygiene, transport systems, irrigation systems, schools and medical stations.

In addition, the province has also mobilised money from local people and social sources to carry out the programme on building new-style rural areas.

In 2022, the province mobilised over 120 billion VND from the community for the implementation of the programmes.

The effective use of funds has helped Ninh Binh gain remarkable achievements.

As a result, all eight cities and districts of Ninh Binh have completed the tasks of building new-style rural areas; 119 out of 119 communes have met the criteria of new-style rural areas. Of which, 30 communes have met the standards of advanced new-style rural areas while 14 others were recognised as model countryside areas; and 101 OCOP products have been rated as 3 stars or more.
