As many as 1,400 young people attended send-off ceremonies which were held on March 3 morning in eight districts and cities of the northern province of Ninh Binh before joining the army and police forces.

Attending the farewell ceremony for newly-recruited soldiers inYen Khanh district were Deputy Minister of National Defence Lt. Gen. Vu Hai San; Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha; Deputy Commander-in-chief of Military Region 3 Maj. Gen. Ha Tat Dat; Commander of the provincial Military Command Col. Dinh Cong Thanh, and leaders of the Yen Khanh district.
This year, Yen Khanh district has 229 new recruits and 30 young people join public security forces. Of them, nine recruits have university or college degrees, and 20 were already admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Meanwhile, the ceremony in Yen Mo district saw the attendance of Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council Tran Hong Quang, among others.

Up to 223 young people in Yen Mo district are to serve in the military and 30 others join police forces this year. They will be trained at military units in Ninh Binh province and other localities nationwide.

In 2021, 80 youngsters in the city join the army and 20 others will be serving in the police forces.
The same day, all eight districts and cities in the province also completed the handover of recruits to army units and police forces.

At these ceremonies, provincial leaders presented flowers and gifts to the recruits and encouraged them to learn and train hard at military and police units, thus successfully fulfilling all assigned tasks.
