The Congress also elected a new Executive Committee comprising 51 members, 15 of whom were named for the Standing Committee. They also selected 20 official delegates and two alternates to attend the upcoming 12th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The previous term's deputy Party Committee secretaries, including Nguyen Tien Thanh, who is Chairman of the People's Council, and Dinh Van Dien, who is Chairman of the People's Committee, were re-elected for the 2015-2020 tenure.
The congress identified three future major breakthroughs, including synchronous infrastructure development, tourism and service quality improvement, management mechanism issuance, administrative reform, investment attraction and personnel training.
In its Resolution, the Congress said from 2015-2020, Ninh Binh targets an annual GDP growth rate of at least 8 percent, a State budget collection of 6 trillion VND (264 million USD) and an export turnover of 1.5 billion USD per year.
The province is expected to annually pocket 3 trillion VND (132 million USD) from the tourism sector and recognise 75 communes and two districts as new-style rural areas.
The Congress also called on people in the province to unite and overcome difficulties to successfully realize tasks and targets set for 2015-2020 at the 21st Provincial Party Congress.
