Newly-elected Party Central Committee convenes first plenum

The newly-elected Party Central Committee convened the first plenum in Hanoi on January 27 and elected the Politburo, the Party General Secretary, the Secretariat, the Inspection Commission and the commission's head for the 12th tenure.
The outcomes of the election will be announced to the 12th National Party Congress during the plenary session on January 28 morning.Earlier on January 26, the Congress elected 200 members to the Party Central Committee, including 180 official and 20 alternate ones.
