Receiving the delegation, which was led by NEDO CEO Sou Satoh, Chairman of the provincial People's committee Dinh Van Dien said he is pleased that Ninh Binh has been chosen to host a factory of the project.
He pledged that local authorities will work closely with the delegation in a bid to implement the project as soon as possible.
Sou Satoh said the purpose of the visit is to introduce to Ninh Binh authority waste treatment procedures and technology developed by NEDO.
Ninh Binh fully meets requirements of building such a waste disposal factory as it has several cement plants as well as solid waste needed to be treated.
"Currently, the province has a waste disposal factory; however, it does not meet the demand," said Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen NgocThach.
He also expressed his hope that the project would help Ninh Binh soon solve environmental issues, as well as providing raw materials for its cement industry.
Ninh Binh authority will create all possible favourable conditions so that the project would be launched as soon as possible, he pledged.
