Nearly VND21,000 bln invested in economic, industrial zones

The PM has approved a target program on investment in infrastructure of coastal economic zones, border economic zones, industrial parks, industrial clusters, high-tech parks and high-tech agriculture zones in the 2016-2020 phase.
The program is aimed at synchronously developing technical and social infrastructure of these areas, facilitating and attracting large-scale projects, promoting sectors at coastal and border areas, enhancing the development andapplication of science and technology in production and supporting handicraft industries.
The program includes five components including infrastructure investments in coastal economic zones, border economic zones, industrial zones and clusters, high-tech parks and high-tech agriculture zones.
The total expenditure for launching project is worth VND20,982.02billion, consisting of VND16,676.61 billion from the central budget and VND4,215.41 billion from local budgets and other legal resources.
