Nearly 5 million tourists visit Ninh Binh in first eight months

The northern province of Ninh Binh greeted over 4.931 million tourists in first eight months of 2015, a year-on-year rise of 35%, according to the latest statistics provided by the provincial statistics office.
The visitors brought to the local tourism sector an estimated revenue of over 1 ,1 trillionVND (46 million USD), which reflected a surge of 49 percent against the sum recorded a year earlier.
Among the number, 229,000 stayed overnight, a year - on - year rise of 65 percent, the office reported.
Ninh Binh is expected to welcome 6 million tourist arrivals in 2016.
