National Assembly Vice Chairman extends Buddha's birthday greetings
In Can Tho, Man visited the Most Venerable Thich Giang Nhuong and the Most Venerable Dao Nhu.
He emphasised that Buddha's birthday is an occasion for Buddhists to communicate Buddha's teachings on peace, reconciliation, tolerance and love to everyone.
Man expressed his expectations that Buddhist dignitaries will continue promoting their role in building the great national unity and make contributions to building a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
On the same day, the National Assembly Vice Chairman paid a visit to the 92-year-old Most Venerable Duong Nhon, who is being taken care of at the Soc Trang General Hospital.
He spoke highly of Soc Trang Buddhism's charitable activities and active participation in the efforts to fight COVID-19.
On the occasion of Buddha's birthday, Man extended his best wishes to the Most Venerable Duong Nhon and Buddhist monks, nuns and laypeople in Soc Trang Province.
