In the past years, Ninh Binh has well implemented state management in protecting and promoting the values of cultural heritage, considering it as strengths in the province's socio-economic development.
In the period of 2005-2023, over 40 relic sites have been restored and repaired with a total amount of 1.15 trillion VND.
Besides, local people have also contributed money to restoreing and repairing relic sites. A total of 395 relic sites have been rated and listed as protected sites in line with regulations.
The province has applied technologies and digital transformation and stepped up international cooperation in the field of cultural heritage. At the same time, it has also paid attention to preserving and promoting the values of tangible and tangible cultural heritages.
Speaking at the working session, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc said in the coming time, Ninh Binh will continue to maintain its consistent goal of attracting clean technology projects; mobiling all resources under the motto "public investment leads private investment"; and taking preservation as the resources for development, thereby promoting the values of heritages.
Ngoc also said that it is necessary to have criteria for"special urban areas" of localities that have heritages when building legal regulations.
Vice Chairman of the NA's Committee for Culture and Education Phan Viet Luong speaks at the working session.
Concluding the working session, Luong spoke highly of the efforts of local administrations at all levels, sectors andagencies in exploiting potential and strengths of heritages, culture and tourism to create breakthroughs for the province's socio-economic development.
Ninh Binh is a typical model of preserving and promoting the values of cultural heritages and tourism for other provinces and cities to follow, especially in preserving and upholding the values of Trang An Landscape Complex, he said.
In particular, Ninh Binh has a right direction and has consistently implemented the policy of taking preservation as a resource for development, giving priority to preserving and promoting the values of cultural heritages and tourism, the official added.
Luong also asked Ninh Binh to mobilise all resources to preserve local relic sites and issue more policies to well implement the goal of preservation associated with sustainable development.
It needs to classify relic sites and have preferential policies for artisans and other culture activities, he suggested.
Basing on the proposals and recommendations of Ninh Binh and other provinces and cities, the committee will contribute its ideas to help the National Assembly build and finalise bills, especially the Law on Cultural Heritage (amended), which will be submitted to the 7th session of the 15th NA for consideration and to the 8th sessession for approval, Luong said.
