Discussions on socio-economic development solutions at the 14th National Assembly's seventh session will continue to be broadcast live on national television and radio on May 31 morning.
Under the management of National Assembly Vice Chairman Phung Quoc Hien, a majority of deputies approved of the Government's supplementary report on socio-economic and State budget performance in 2018 and first months of 2019 with positive outcomes.
They expressed their satisfaction and impression at the achievements, the socio-economic performance was regarded as a 'beautiful and comprehensive' picture thanks to the endevor of the political system, the drastic and close management of the Government, ministries, and localities.
Deputies also frankly pointed out shortcomings and limitations and voiced solutions to fulfilling the preset goals for 2019.
Addressing the discussion session, Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue said that the Government considers macro-economic stability, inflation curbing, and security of big balances as the top priorities.
Over the past three years, the Government has spared no effort to keep inflation rate under 4%.
In the afternoon,deputieswill examine the draft Laws on amendments and supplementations to a number of articles of the Law on Insurance Business, and the Law on Intellectual Property, which were discussed in group on May 20.
The promulgation of the Laws on amendments and supplementations to a number of articles of the Law on Insurance Business, and the Law on Intellectual Property aims to continue perfecting domestic legal regulations to effectively implement commitments in the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
