NA Chairman meets with visiting Lao official

Chairman Hung spoke highly of the outcomes of the working session between officials of the two NAs and asked both sides to further co-operation, enhance the sharing of lawmaking experience and intensify delegation exchanges.

He briefed the guest on the new content in Vietnam's revised Constitution and highlighted the roles of the NA and People's Councils in realising socio-economic development plans.

At the meeting, the Lao NA Vice Chairman thanked Vietnam for creating favourable conditions for the Lao delegation during the visit.

He expressed his desire to learn more from the operations of local government in Vietnam so as to build models appropriate for Laos.
