Of which, there were 670,015 arrivals travelling by air, accounting for 82.4%; 12,382 arrivals by sea and 130,610 arrivals by road, accounting for 1.5 and 16.1%, respectively.
After 9 months, the number of international visitors to Viet Nam reached 7,265,380 arrivals, surging by 25.7% over the same period of 2015, including 6,108,948 by air (+29.7%); 111,231 by sea (-13.7%) and 1,045,201 by road (+10.8%).
Most of markets recorded positive growth in comparison with the same period last year. Particularly, Northest Asian markets were listed among the markets of highest growth such as Hong Kong (+79%), China (+57.7%), Republic of Korea (+39.9%), Taiwan (+15.7%).
The number of visitors from 5 Western European countries enjoying one-year visa extension under the Resolution 56/NQ-CP of Government from July 1, 2016 has been continuously rising, including Italy (+31.1%), Spain (+27.9%), the UK (+23.1%), Germany (+18.6%), and France (+13.8%).
Russia with nearly 300,000 arrivals was named in the top 10 markets of highest growth.
In the first 9 months, there were 48.8 million domestic trippers, of which 22.5 million were overnight guests; total tourism receipts reached VND 297,161 billion, up 20.2% over the same period last year.
