On behalf of leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Quang extended greetings and wished a merry Christmas to local Catholic priests, dignitaries and parishioners.
The officer highly appreciated the contributions of the priests and Catholics nationwide in general and those in the Phat Diem Diocese in construction, socio-economic development, ensuring social security and order and promoting the great national unity bloc.
Quang hoped that in the coming time, the Catholic priests, dignitaries and followers would continue to well implement the Party and State's policies and laws, and join hands in building the country and the homeland prosperously.
Archbishop the Phat Diem Diocese Joseph Nguyen Nang, who is also Chairman of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Vietnam, thanked the delegation for their attention to the diocese.
He also pledged to do his best to mobilise local Catholics to continue well carrying out patriotic emulation movements and taking part in ensuring social security and order, and boosting socio-economic development./.
