Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc chaired the meeting.
Participants heard the planning scheme on the construction of sub-areas inside the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex presented by the Vietnam Urban Development and Planning Joint Stock Company.
The planning scheme covers a total area of 6,035 hectares, spanning across the communes of Ninh Tien and Ninh Nhat (Binh Binh city); Ninh Hoa, Truong Yen, Ninh Xuan, Ninh Hai and Ninh Thang (Hoa Lu district); Gia Sinh (Gia Vien district); Son Lai and Son Ha (Nho Quan district) and Yen Son (Tam Diep city).
The Trang An complex area will be divided into three main areas and nine sub-areas.
The plan will be implemented in three periods. The 2021-2025 period focuses on finalizing management tools for planning and preserving as well as regulations on construction investment management and socio-economic development in the area.
The 2025-2030 period will construct and finalise tourist areas in line with dividing functional areas as a basis for developing tourism infrastructure.
As for the 2030-2050 period, the core area will be developed in line with the expanded area of Ninh Binh urban and tourist areas in order to create connection chains.
The planning scheme aims to build an area of preserving cultural and natural heritage of Trang An in line with developing tourism service and stablizing local residents' lives in the core area of the Trang An heritage complex.
Participants basically agreed to the planning scheme and gave opinions on some matters such as the maximum construction density and the maximum height of construction works.
Especially, Hoa Lu ancient capital will be built into a cultural tourism site only, not including tourism services.
Local sectors, departments and localities will continue to study and put forth recommendationson the planning scheme before submitting to Provincial Party Committee's Standing Board for consideration in the coming time.
