* On September 6th, 10,000 youths from 774 communes and towns under Military Zone 5 were staffed in 34 units. Among them, 62.4 per cent graduated from high schools and colleges, nearly 3 per cent are members of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and 100 per cent are of a good health standard.
* 83 per cent of 400 youths in Da Nang city enlisted in units this time have graduated from high school. Notably, 16 selected men worked at the local authorities.
* Eight districts and towns of the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai sent 1,250 youths, including 16 Party members, to army units. Nearly half of them are from ethnic minority groups.
* Meanwhile, 900 youths in Khanh Hoa province have started national service in army units. Almost all of them have good health and a good education background.
* The same day, thousands of youths in Dak Lak, Binh Dinh and Phu Tho provinces were recruited to the military.All the enlistees are of high political and academic standards and in good health, and many of them are Party members and had written petitions to voluntarily join the army.
