The tournament wrapped up in the northern province of Bac Ninh after nine days of competition with interesting matches.
The champion won the championship trophy and a total cash prize of US$15,000; while the runners-up were awarded US$10,000. The third and fourth place teams Vietinbank and Tien Nong Thanh Hoa received US$6,000 and US$3,000, respectively.
The Nanjing University team from China bagged the consolation prize and the team from Thailand was honoured for their style.
Along with the main prizes, the organisers also presented seven individual prizes worth total US$2,000 to the Best Server, the Best Setter, the Best Spiker, the Best Libero, the Best Blocker, the Most Valuable Player and Miss Volleyball.
The 2017 Women's International Volleyball Championships draws the participation of more than 100 players from eigth teams including LienVietPostBank, Tien Nong Thanh Hoa, Vietinbank, VTV Binh Dien Long An, Malaysia, Thailand, Nanjing University (China) and Tianjin University from China.
The tournament offered a good opportunity for Vietnamese players, especially young players, to hone their skills as well as exchange with international teams.
