The VFF President proudly displayed his gratitude and respect for President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of the Vietnam Revolution and the founder of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
On the same day, VFF President Nhan offered incense to 13 young soldiers who volunteered in the resistance war against the US in Truong Bon, Do Luong district, Nghe An province. He also visited and presented gifts to the family of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Lien; the family of war invalid Nguyen Van Khuyen; and the family of martyr Nguyen Thi Van in Do Luong district.
The VFF leader asked the local authorities to continue to pay attention to the families of national contributors to help them overcome their losses and improve their living standards.
On the same day, Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Pham Thi Hai Chuyen and Head of the National Assembly Committee for Social Affairs Truong Thi Mai visited and presented gifts to war invalids being treated at Nho Quan invalids convalescent centre in Ninh Binh province. They also visited Heroic Vietnamese Mothers Quach Thi Gi and Bui Thi Tuc in Nho Quan district.
A delegation led by Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City's Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha on July 21 visited Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Tuong aged 88 in Ho Chi Minh City whose husband and son sacrificed their lives in defending the nation.
Many other commemorative activities have taken place in localities across the country to show gratitude to war invalids, martyrs and national contributors.
