It is a sub-project of Ninh Binh - Hai Phong expressway project, with the Nam Dinh management board of construction and investment projects acting as the investor.
The sub-project has a total length of two kilometres, starting at Khanh Cuong commune of Yen Khanh district (Ninh Binh) and ending at Nghia Thai commune of Nghia Hung district (Nam Dinh). It has total investment capital of 1.45 trillion VND (61.7 million USD).
It is designed to have five lanes and a maximum speed of 100 kilometres per hour.
A representative of the Nam Dinh management board of construction and investment projects said that the sub-project is part of the socio-economic recovery and development programme and it is scheduled to start work in June 2023.
The central budget allocated 1.1 trillion VND for the sub-project in 2023, so the provincial People's Committees of Ninh Binh and Nam Dinh need continue directing Yen Khanh and Nghia Hung districts and relevant departments and sectors to accelerate the site clearance work in a bid to hand over the cleared site for construction in June 2023, the official said.
At the working session, representatives of the relevant localities, departments and sectors discussed measures to remove difficulties related to land compensation and building residential areas for affected households.
