Laos News Agency KPL delegation visits Ninh Binh province.

At the reception, Binh expressed his joy to welcome the KPL delegation, and briefed his guests on the province's potential, especially in economic and tourism development, and strengths as well as socio-economic situation over past few years. The official expressed his wish that the visit would help the Lao delegation to have a better understanding of Ninh Binh people and land and subsequently popularize it to the Lao people back home. Sounthone Khanthavong thanked the host for his warm welcome, and congratulated the province on its achievements in more than 20 years after separating from Ha Nam Ninh province in 1992. He expressed his pleasure at the development of the fine traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos, especially that between the Lao province of Oudomxay and Ninh Binh. On this occasion, the Lao delegation also exchanged ideas with local leaders on issues related to the solutions to preserve natural heritage sites, the ways to develop tourism as a spearhead industry, the training of the Lao students at the Hoa Lu university, as well as press activities in the province. The guests concluded their visit with a fact-finding tour of the Trang An landscape complex, recognized by UNESCO as a world natural and cultural heritage site in June, and Bai Dinh pagoda.
