Lao Embassy's delegation pays working visit to Ninh Binh

Permanent Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council Mai Van Tuat; and Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc, among others, received the delegation.

Speaking at the reception, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc briefed the delegation on cooperative and friendship relations between Ninh Binh and Lao localities in the past years.

Ninh Binh set up twinned relations with Udomxay province of Laos many years ago, he said.

It has also stepped up cooperation and friendship with localities of Laos such as Vientiane capital and Luang Prabang and Houphan provinces. The cooperation and friendship relations have been developed strongly, practically and effectively, becoming one of the most important driving forces for socio-economic development in both countries.

Ngoc said Ninh Binh wants to continue developing close cooperative ties with Udomxay and other localities of Laos, including  Luang Prabang, in different fields in the coming time.

The Chairman also took this occasion to thank the Lao Embassy and the Ambassador for their great contributions to nurturing the friendship between Vietnam and Laos in general and between Ninh Binh and Lao localities in particular.

For his part, Sengphat thanked the province's leaders for their warm welcome and affirmed that he would work as a bridge to further foster the close friendship and cooperation between the Parties, States and people of the two countries, as well as cooperative ties among localities of Laos and Vietnam.

Earlier, the Lao delegation attended an exchange event between artists of Ninh Binh and Lao students studying at Hoa Lu university in the province.
