Lao deputies study People's Council operations in Ninh Binh

A Lao National Assembly delegation led by Vice Chairman Somphan Phengkhammy visited the northern province of Ninh Binh on March 15 to learn about the operations of its People's Council.
The provincial delegation of NA deputies and the council, in spite of their differences in operational functions, co-operate closely in deciding issues relating to socio-economic and cultural development, and act as a bridge to transfer voters' aspirations, opinions, suggestions and proposals to the meeting sessions of the National Assembly and the provincial People's Council.
Phengkhammy stressed that in the time to come, he will work with the Vietnamese NA to establish deep, sustainable and effective co-operation, contributing to improving the special and traditional friendship and co-operation between the two countries and peoples.
