Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang handed over the decision to the district on August 18.
After twelve years of implementing the new rural area building programme, all communes in Kim Son district have been certified as new-style rural areas.
Of which, 4 communes are recognised as advanced newstyle rural areas while one other met standards of model new-style rural area.
Kim Son has received over 3,6 trillion VND from the central budget for the implementation of the national target programme on new-style rural areas building and mobilised a total amount of over 2,1 trillion VND from local people and social sources to carry out the programme on building new-style rural areas.
Kim Son has made significant achievements in all fields. It has fully exploited potentials to develop marine economy, industry and handicrafts and become a leading locality in developing agriculture production, fishery.
By the end of 2022, the average income per capita per year reaches 57.2 million VND while the ratio of poor households has been reduced to 1.24. percent.
