Central and local leading officials attending the ceremony included Tran Dai Quang, Minister of Public Security; Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Dinh Trinh Hai, deputy head of the National Assembly Financial Budget Committee; and Nguyen Thi Thanh,Secretary of the Ninh Binh Party Committee.
On the behalf of the Prime Minister, Chairman of the Ninh Binh People's Committee Dinh Van Dien presented an emulation flag to Kim Son in recognition of its outstanding achievements in the movement of the province in 2014.
Participants reviewed the district's founding and dynamic development over the past years, The local annual economic growth is recorded at 12% while the economic structure continues to move in a positive way. Agriculture has seen comprehensive developments; marine reported strong growth; and industrial and handicraft production obtained high growth rates. In 2014 alone, aquaculture reaches 21,900 tons, accounting for 50 percent of the province's total.
Addressing at the function, Thanh spoke highly of the local people's achievements which, she said, have made considerable contributions to the socio-economic development of the province.
In the time to come, Kim Son needs to fully tap its potential to develop the marine economy as a spearhead, she said. Besides, more efforts must be focused on improving the living conditions of the poor, social policy beneficiaries and the whole population.
