During the week, tourists will be offered a 50 percent discount on tickets to watch daytime Hue Royal Court Music performances, named by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Groups of 10 visitors or more will receive a 20 percent discount for visiting the city's heritage sites while students will get free tickets for sightseeing.
Meanwhile, if visitors buy tickets to visit the Imperial Palace and the royal tombs of Khai Dinh and Minh Mang, they will get free tickets to enter Thieu Tri and Tu Duc tombs and Hon Chen temple.
Also being celebrated the same week, Hue heritage sites will welcome their two-millionth visitor in 2014 and thirty-millionth visitors since the site became a UNESCO-recognised World Heritage site in 1993.
The Hue Monument Conservation Centre (HMCC) has welcomed 1.8 million tourist arrivals in the past 11 months, including nearly 846,000 foreign visitors. The tourism sector earned over VND 129 billion, 103.7% of the 2014 target.
