Hoi An ancient town's 20-year UNESCO World Heritage Site celebration to be held next month

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman ofQuangNam's People's Committee Le VanThanhsaid that the event aims to communicate and introduce the image ofQuangNam Province in general,Hoi An ancient town,My Son Sanctuaryand Cu Lao Cham Islands in particular to foreign and domestic visitors, thus promoting tourism development and attracting more investment in the province.

It also heads to improve the awareness of and consensus among community to join hands in conserving and upholding the cultural and natural values.

Accordingly, a number of activities will be jointly held in September by the province's People's Committee, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism,UNESCO HaNoiOffice.

The occasion, a series of cultural, art, sport, tourism and exhibition activities will also be organized from September 7-15.
