The delegation also saw the participation of Bulgarian Ambassador to Vietnam Pavlin Todorov, members of the Bulgarian National Assembly and Chairman of the Vietnamese NA's Committee for External Relations Vu Hai Ha.
Receiving and working with the delegation were Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan, Chairman of the provincial People's Council Mai Van Tuat, and Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Song Tung, among others.
Speaking at the reception, Huan thanked the delegation for choosing Ninh Binh as their first destination during their official visit to Vietnam. The visit would help strengthen and cultivate the sound political relations between Vietnam and Bulgaria and open up cooperative opportunities for localities of the two countries, including Ninh Binh, he said.
Huan also briefed to the delegation on the province's geographical location, and historical and cultural values as well as development orientations in the coming time.
Ninh Binh is striving to become a centrally-run city by 2035 by taking the nature of a millennial heritage urban area and a creative city as the core value, and integrating into the network of heritage urban, heritage economy and cultural industry in the world, the official added.
For his part, Speaker of the National Assembly of Bulgaria Rosen Dimitrov Jeliazkov thanked the provincial leaders for their warm welcome and informed them about some big diplomatic events to be held in 2024.
Rosen also expressed his belief that the relations between Bulgaria and Vietnam would continue to be intensified in all areas, including trade, high-technology, culture and tourism.
The Speaker also hoped that Ninh Binh would share its experiences in socio-economic development.
