Ha Long Carnival opens in Quang Ninh

Themed "From Wonders to Wonders", the music show was the highlight of the Ha Long Carnival 2019, featuring performances of various prominent Vietnamese singers and artists.

According to the local authorities, the carnival was renewed in form, scale and content this year, being held by Ha Long city in collaboration with the Sun Group and the FLC Group in Ha Long's Bai Chay and Hon Gai tourist areas, aiming to bring the carnival close to the local people and visitors.

A street parade, in combination with music performances, began at 16:30 at Bai Chay, with the participation of over 400 professional and amateur artists, including 34 from other countries.

Earlier in the day, a similar parade was held in FLC Ha Long resort complex with over 100 domestic and foreign artists.

Concluding the event was an artistic low-range fireworks show at the resort complex.

The Ha Long - Quang Ninh tourism week is conducted annually and is deployed widely across the whole province with a series of unique cultural, sports and tourism events, becoming one of the cultural and touristic characteristics of Quang Ninh.

This year, it featured nine cultural, sports and tourism activities in Ha Long and Mong Cai cities, Van Don and Co To districts, and 11 response activities in other areas from April 25 to May 25.
