Government's delegation works with Ninh Binh's leaders

On October 18, the delegation paid a  fact-finding trip to inspect construction of some projects, namely Ninh Binh - Hai Phong expressway; Road DT.482 connecting national highway 1A and national highway 10; national highway 10 and national highway 12B; coastal road running through Kim Son district (the first and second phases).

After inspection and hearing reports presented by the provincial People's Committee, investors and contractors, Son expressed his wish that Ninh Binh will continue to speeding up progress of public investment projects, including key transport projects, in a bid to open up opportunities for attracting investment in remoted and coastal areas.

At the working session on October 19, the delegation heard the provincial People's Committee's report on the province's production, business, public investment, infrastructure building, and import-export in the first nine months of 2023.

Speaking at the session, Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Tran Van Son spoke highly of Ninh Binh's efforts to overcome difficulties to rank among top centrally-run cities and provinces nationwide in terms of economic growth. In particular, the tourism-service sector enjoyed stable growth while the tourism industry ranked second in the country.

Ninh Binh ranked among the top localities with a high rate of public investment disbursement. Key projects have been constructed as scheduled, while rural transport systems have been invested while the localbusiness climate has been improved.

Son asked Ninh Binh to focus on speeding up construction of key  projects, prepare conditions for  building Ninh Binh-Hai Phong expressway and conduct procedures for expanding Cao Bo - Nghi Son expressway.

The province should exploit potential and advantages to develop the manufacturing, processing and high-tech industries, services and tourism, Son said.

Ninh Binh should pay more attention to ensuring social welfare, social security and order, fire prevention and control at industrial zones and clusters and residential areas, he added.
