Mrs Hoa, together with local leaders and 500 outstanding entrepreneurs, offered incense at the Dinh - Le King temple (Hoa Lu ancient citadel) on October 5. Dinh Van Dien, vice chairman of the provincial People's Committee, expressed his joy to welcome the delegation and briefed his guests on the province's natural conditions as well as socio-economic development over the past few years.
Ninh Binh has a long history of cultural development and is striving to become a tourism centre of the Red River delta. Besides, it boasts abundant natural resources with convenient transportation network combining landway, railway and water way, he said. Currently, the province is home to three industrial zones with nearly 4,500 companies operating at a total capital of up to 188 trillion VND (USD 8,869 trillion)
In particular, the province has a large skilled labor force. Local authorities always pay attention to the acceleration of administrative reforms and the provision of favorable environment for investors, Dien stressed.
Tourism is taken as a spearhead economic sector of the province in the coming time, and local authorities will focus on developing the green and sustainable economy.
Dien expressed his hope that the visit would help draw more investors to the province, and promised to offer favorable conditions for both domestic and foreign investors.
Former Vice President Hoa said she was delighted at the province's rapid and comprehensive development, and spoke highly of the contribution by local entrepreneurs to the socio-economic development of the province and the country as well.
In the time to come, entrepreneurs in Vietnam in general and in Ninh Binh in particular must unite and overcome difficulties to do their best to enrich the country, she said.
