Vietnam earned USD 10.17 billion from exports in the first half of June, raising the total earnings from January to June 15 to USD 111.26 billion, reported the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
According to the department, imports in the first half of June were USD 9.69 billion, bringing in a total import of USD 111.193 billion in the January-June 15 period, resulting in a trade surplus of USD 500 million.
Earnings exceeding USD 1 billion in the first 15 days of June were recorded in three groups of goods, namely, telephone and accessories with USD 1.71 billion; computers, electronics and accessories with USD 1.42 billion; and apparels with USD 1.401 billion.
With the figures, telephone and accessories raked in USD 21.43 billion, computers, electronics and accessories obtained USD 13.97 billion, and apparels earned USD 13.58 billion so far this year.
