The northern province of Ninh Binh's export turnover amounted to 654 million in the first 10 months of 2014, a year-on-year rise of 34 percent, according to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade.
At present, Ninh Binh is exporting goods to 45 countries and territories. In October alone, the export value amounted to nearly 78 million USD, up 38 percent against the same period last year. The total export value in the January-October period was nearly 654 million USD, a year-on-year increase of 34 percent. Key foreign-currency earners include textile and garment, footwear, cement, clinker, electronic components, and handicraft products. Also in the period, the province's imports showed a rising trend again, reaching around 448 million USD, up 90 percent compared to the same period last year. High value imports included fabric and garment accessories, machinery, electronic products, wood, and materials for footwear manufacturing.
