Emulation drive launched to complete Cao Bo-Mai Son expressway section within 200 days

Attending the launching ceremony were Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Ngoc Dong, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc, and Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Cao Son, among others.

The Cao Bo - Mai Son expressway section is one of the key national projects. It is invested by Ninh Binh's Department of Transport and built by the Xuan Truong Construction Company.

Work started on the project in  December 2019, and it is expected to be completed before December 31, 2021.

The project includes an expressway section with a total length of 15.2 kilometers, frontage roads of 22 kilometers, seven flyovers and three tunnels. 

To date, 60 percent of the project's construction and installment workload has been completed.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Department of Transport Le Trong Thanh called on all officials,  engineers and workers to make concerted efforts to synchronically carry out items of the project, striving to complete the it within 200 days, and ensuring the quality and safety.

 In his remarks, Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Ngoc Dong spoke highly of the efforts and sense of responsibility of the provincial Department of Transport and the Xuan Truong Construction Company.

Dong stressed this is a national key project, adding that the related parties must ensure its quality, working safety and progress.

For the Mai Son - National Highway 45 sub-project running through Tam Diep city, Ninh Binh's authorities need to popularise and persuade affected households and organisations to soon hand over their revoked land area to the contractor.

The provincial authorities should also direct departments, sectors and localities to create favourable conditions for the implementation of the subprojects of the North - South expressway running through Ninh Binh, he added.

During the ceremony, representatives of investor,  Management board and consultant sides signed commitment of carrying out the project as scheduled.
