In 2008, Ninh Binh opened the Dong Chuong Lake eco-tourism area covered with green trees, which includes a yacht club, a recreational park, a stilt house resort, a sports site, a camping site and a 18-hole golf course.

Dong Chuong is much more beautiful than Ky Lan, May Xay, Lam Nghiep, Bien Bach and Canh Dieu lakes which are likened to five green sapphires of Ninh Binh City.
