Deputy Head of National Committee for flood and storm prevention Tran Quang Hoai on October 14 inspected preparations for tropical storm Nangka in coastal district of Kim Son, northern province of Ninh Binh.

The storm Nangka, the seventh to enter the East Sea this year, is forecast to hit the northern and central regions on the afternoon of October 14.
There are currently 130 vessels with 401 people on board operating in the waters of northern Ninh Binh province; and 412 people working in 296 ramsackle houses in dyke of Binh Minh 3 and Con Noi Alluvial ground. In the morning of the 14th, the provincial Board Guard resolutely requested these vessels and people come ashore to ensure safety.
Mr Hoai asked local authorities to promptly evacuate residents, fish catchers from vulnerable areas flood, call ships to find shelter and instruct locals to brace for the storm.

Ninh Binh province continues to closely observe the progress of the storm, promptly respond when the storm hits the mainland, and ensure people's lives and property. It needs to inspect the safety of facilities used for or related to prevention and control of floods. At the same time, Ninh Ninh must strengthen prevention and control of natural disasters work .
