A delegation of government members led by Tran Van Son, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister-Chairman of the Government Office, had a working session with Ninh Binh's leaders on the production and business situation, public investment, infrastructure development and export-import in the province.

Receiving and working with the delegation were Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc, and Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tong Quang Thin, among others.
At the working session, leaders of Ninh Binh briefed the delegation on the province's production and business situation; public investment, infrastructure development, export-import and the implementation of three national target programmes in the first half of 2024.

In the first six months of 2024, the province has maintained relatively high growth, at 8.19%, ranking 12th out of 63 provinces and centrally-run cities nationwide, and 6th out of 11 provinces and centrally-run cities in the Red River Delta region.
Industrial production has recovered with a value of over 48 trillion VND, posting a year-on-year rise of 6.4%.
Total development investment capital reached nearly 15.4 trillion VND, up 3.3% from the same period last year and making up 46.6% of the yearly plan.
By June 21, 2024, the province's capital disbursement was over 2.08 trillion VND, equivalent to 32.3% of the target set by the Prime Minister.
Key projects have been carried out as scheduled and some works have been completed and put into operation, thereby contributing to the locality's socio-economic development.
Export-import activities have seen signs of recovery. In the first half of 2024, the province's total export turnover was estimated to hit 1.68 billion USD, an increase of 10.8% from the same period last year, and accounting for 51.7% of the yearly plan.
The implementation of the three national target programmes on building new-style rural areas; reducing poverty sustainably and boosting socio-economic development in ethnic minority-inhabited and mountainous areas have been done well and reaped sound achievements.

Speaking at the working session, Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Tran Van Son asked the province to speed up progress of key projects, including a section of Ninh Binh -Hai phong expressway and expansion of Cao Bo-Mai Son expressway section.
The province needs to maintain its high rankings related to administrative procedure reform and pay due attention to ensuring social welfare in the province, Son added.
As for the province's proposals, the official requested ministries and sectors to collect these petitions and reported to the Government and the PM for consideration so as to have solutions to solve difficulties, thus spurring socio-economic growth in the current period.
Previously, the delegation made a field trip to inspect production and business activities at Tam Diep cement plant (Tam Diep city) and CFG floating glass plant in Yen Khanh district.

After the inspection, Son spoke highly of these firms' efforts in production and business as well as ensuring stable incomes for laboures.
He expressed his hope that these businesses would continue stay united and make more concerted efforts to have effective production and business plans and expand consumption markets.
The official committed to report these enterprises' proposals to the Government and the PM so as to issue solutions to removing difficulties for enterprises in general and for those in export-import, and construction sectors in particular.
