Conference discusses Planning Project of Ninh Binh for 2021-2030 with vision until 2050

Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc chaired the conference.

The general goal of the Planning Project is to develop Ninh Binh effectively, inclusively and sustainably, under which, industry is seen as a momentum for economic growth; tourism is turned into a spearhead economic sector, spurring other sectors and fields and helping to shift the province's economic structure; and economic development is step up towards green, circular, digital economy in line with reducing greenhouse emissions.

The Planning Project also aims to turn Ninh Binh into a relatively developed province in the Red River Delta and become a quality tourism hub of the whole country.

At the conference, the consulting unit and delegates contributed numerous ideas on the organisation and development of territory space,  infrastructure development, land allocation, environmental protection, exploitation and use of natural resources, biological diversity, and natural disaster prevention and control.

In his conclusion, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc asked heads of departments, sectors and localities continue to study and implement the provincial People's Committee's directions on some specific matters such as economic growth, economic structure, and space for sustainable development of economic sectors in line with orientations.

The consulting unit must collect all contributed ideas and recommendations of the national appraisal council to finalise the brief report as soon as possible, Ngoc added.
