Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc chaired the conference.
The adjusted planning project of Ninh Binh's urban areas to 2040 was built based on the master urban planning project in 2014.
The scope and boundary of the planning project includes that mentioned in the master urban planning of Ninh Binh to 2030 with a vision until 2050 and the expanded planning area to Ben Dang River and National 12B in the western region, covering administrative units of Ninh Binh city, Hoa Lu district, Gia Sinh and Gia Tan communes of Gia Vien district, Mai Son commune of Yen Mo district; Khanh Phu and Khanh Hoa communes of Yen Khanh district, a small part of Yen Son commune and Tan Binh ward of Tam Diep city and Son Lai, Son Ha and Quynh Luu communes of Nho Quan district.
The scale of the planning project covers an area of around 23,242 hectares.
The planning project aims to build a heritage urban area of Ninh Binh - a service, eco-tourism and culture hub of the Red River Delta.
At the conference, delegates contributed ideas to the adjusted planning project.
In his conclusion, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc asked the planning project making unit to evaluate the current conditions, advantages and disadvantages of the 2014 master planning project.
It is necessary to stabilise the lives of local people, ensure solutions for flood prevention and control, allocate supporting works, and build modern public transport systems, he said.
Ngoc also asked the Department of Construction to report any difficulties to the provincial People's Committee so as to promptly handling them.
Departments, sectors and units need to continue studying and contributing ideas to ensure that the planning project bears a strategic mindset and promotes the province's sustainable development, he stressed.
