Avestos is a prestigious group of Germany in providing high-quality human resource training and development programmes. In the past years, it has sent thousands of students from many countries to study and work in Germany, including those from Vietnam.
The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has also cooperated with Avestos to provide training in 22 occupations for students at 45 vocational colleges nationwide, including three occupations at LILAMA 1 Vocational College and Ninh Binh Mechanical Vocational College in Ninh Binh province.
At the working session, Schierhorn expressed his wish that Ninh Binh will invest more in infrastructure, equipment, machinery and human resources to further enhance cooperation in vocational training between Avestos and local vocational schools in Ninh Binh, towards expanding high-quality personel training in other occupations.
Ninh Binh is seen as an attractive destination for investors, therefore it should access new trends in vocational training to serve the development of the province and the whole country as well, he said.
Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc said Ninh Binh has defined its development orientation in a sustainable manner, under which the province has focused on developing the mechanism, automobile assembly and manufacturing industries.
Ninh Binh has been cooperating with Hyundai Thanh Cong Commercial Vehicle Joint Stock Company to build Ninh Binh into a major automobile assembly and manufacturing hub of Vietnam, hence it has a big demand for high-quality mechanism training, he said.
Provincial authorities will regularly work with related ministries and sectors to invest in infrastructure, equipment and human resources to meet the demand of cooperation in vocational training between Avestos and local vocational schools, he added.
Ngoc hoped that the German government and Avestos Group would continue studying and cooperating with the Vietnamese government and Ninh Binh in vocational training and other fields as well.
